Let’s take a walk through this primary bedroom  from top to bottom!

The quickest way to add oomph to a room is paint… and the second way? CUSTOM DRAPERY! This very large window lacked personality and much needed light control. We selected  this classic yet modern  windowpane-pattern added and blackout-liner for that all-important deep REM sleep!

Our clients traded up their queen bed  to a  king-–and that alone feels like a real luxury…IYKYK!  Avid readers, we knew we needed to present an upholstered headboard and this one artfully combines a wood frame to keep the natural organic feel we were going for.

Not to knock the ease of a matching set but we always prefer to go rogue! The nightstands were intentionally chosen in a black wood tone to create contrast and the classic richness of the  marble tops introduce quiet luxury.

The bedding is where the layering magic happens! Have you tried linen sheets? Highly suggest them! We added light sage sheets with the striped duvet to add a crisp pop. A mix of boucle throw pillows and a handsome tartan Irish wool lumbar pillow adds texture..

At the foot of the bed, the olive-green bench with its modern sculptural base adds a moment of interest and a place to perch.  Don’t forget a basic design tip: ground your spaces! The rug adds softness and the blend of taupes, grays, and creams unifies every element effortlessly.

With its moody, muted palette and thoughtful layering, this bedroom is the perfect place to quiet your mind and cozy up under the duvet.
